English for Aviation

Tasks and purposes of the course:

  • development of confident and fluent speaking skills;
  • building up of an active occupational vocabulary;
  • building up of the communicative skills both in everyday and extreme situations;
  • practical and professional understanding of the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards and requirements.


Course topics:

  • geography, topographic characteristics, countries and nationalities;
  • location reports;
  • animals and birds;
  • health, medicine, standard and non-standard situations;
  • transport, travel, means of transport;
  • weather, climate, meteorology;
  • senses and perception;
  • materials, construction and components of an airliner.


Skills obtained during the course:

  • development of speed and accuracy of memorizing while listening, information transfer and instructions;
  • development of question understanding skills and information specification;
  • holding conversations, responding to requests and orders;
  • development of skills in describing, reporting and professional topics.
