Tasks and purposes of the course:
- development of confident and fluent speaking skills;
- building up of an active occupational vocabulary;
- building up of the communicative skills both in everyday and extreme situations;
- practical and professional understanding of the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) standards and requirements.
Course topics:
- geography, topographic characteristics, countries and nationalities;
- location reports;
- animals and birds;
- health, medicine, standard and non-standard situations;
- transport, travel, means of transport;
- weather, climate, meteorology;
- senses and perception;
- materials, construction and components of an airliner.
Skills obtained during the course:
- development of speed and accuracy of memorizing while listening, information transfer and instructions;
- development of question understanding skills and information specification;
- holding conversations, responding to requests and orders;
- development of skills in describing, reporting and professional topics.
