Fundamental English

This is a multilevel programme of English study – from the Starter to the Professional level of mastering the English language.

The strategy is based around the development of the main language skills such as: speaking, listening, reading and writing. At the same time the development of oral speech is a prior component of the course, and therefore the strategy is communication-orientated.
In other words, the task of the course is to teach you speak fluently and understand listening.

The programme includes:

• the profound study of grammar with its active use in the spoken language;
• the formation and enlargement of vocabulary;
• work on the pronunciation;
• the development of speech fluency;
• acquaintance with the stylistics of the language.

The transparent testing system of the course allows the progress and quality of the language study to be controlled both by the student and their teacher.
The programme is structurally independent. Each passed level can be considered both as a separate closing stage and a step towards the study of the next level.

The duration of one level of study is 80-100 hours*.

Types of lesson arrangement:

• groups made up of 8 students;
• individual tutorials;
• intensive 3-5 day travelling seminars with complete submersion into the verbal environment

*The time of study is depicted in astronomic hours, where 1 astronomic hour = 60 minutes.
